When this sweet litter was six-weeks old, they & mom, Sweetie Pie, were transferred into the care of Animal Humane New Mexico from partner shelter, Roswell Humane Society as a part of their program, Project Fetch. After being health checked & vaccinated, they were named Dash, Dawdle, Sprint, Jog Stroll & Dart, in honor of Doggie Dash 2021 & were immediately placed into the warm home of a dedicated Foster Caregiver.
After spending a few weeks growing bigger, receiving lots of love & socialization, they returned to Animal Humane to be spayed or neutered, microchipped & made available for adoption. The entire litter found their forever homes, with loving adopters who were thrilled to have new love Dash into their lives.

When Arnold first arrived at Animal Humane New Mexico, it was clear to the Veterinary Team onsite that he needed immediate medical attention. Picked up by a good Samaritan alongside the highway, Arnold was terrified but gentle, even while in extreme pain. At only 9-months old, Arnold went into emergency surgery to repair deep lacerations, which were devastatingly confirmed to be, human-inflicted.
Flash forward a few months & Arnold, now renamed Dean by his loving & supportive family, has made a full recovery. He’s an adventure-loving dog, growing both in size & confidence, & thanks to his new parents, he’s comfortable taking on new experiences & enjoys making new pup-friends at doggie daycare.

Before coming into the care of Animal Humane New Mexico, 3-year-old Jovan was found living with a colony of feral cats. Upon his arrival, this sweet, Domestic Shorthair had quite a bit of debris in one of his ears. After being examined by our Veterinary Team, it was discovered that Jovan had a ruptured ear drum due to a tick infestation.
Because of your generosity, Jovan was able to receive the care, ointment & time that he needed to heal before becoming available for adoption. This adorable Orange Tabby spent his time comfortably at Gamer’s Anonymous, one of Animal Humane’s Cats Around Town partners, until he found his new forever home this July.
