Animal Humane is a private, local nonprofit that does not receive any city, state or federal funding. Each dollar judiciously spent is earned or raised & that’s where you come in!

By registering & fundraising as a Dash participant, you support every companion animal at Animal Humane with outstanding veterinary, social & emotional love & care, as these pets make their journey to their forever homes.

And in 2020, you made it possible for Animal Humane to:

SPAY & NEUTER OVER 2,440 CATS & DOGS

PROVIDE 86 HOURS OF FREE BEHAVIOR ASSISTANCE TO PET OWNERS IN OUR COMMUNITY

TRANSFER OVER 1,100 CATS & DOGS FROM OTHER SHELTERS IN NEW MEXICO

ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY WITH OVER 3,300 HOURS OF HUMANE EDUCATION

When you register & fundraise for Doggie Dash & Dawdle, you make all this -- & so much more -- possible.

Compete to be the Team to raise the most money & receive the traveling trophy to put in your office or home for 1 year (2020 Winner was PNM) & a lunch with us & PUPPIES at our Main Campus after Virtual Race Day (Nov. 7)!

So, if you have a Team of 10 people & each Team member asks 10 other people for $10, you all will raise $1,000, which will prepare 10 shelter pets for adoption, covering spay/neuter services, vaccinations & microchipping!

As a Team Captain, you can also create a mini-competition among your Team members to see who can raise the most money. You can come up with different creative incentives for the Team member who raises the most. One could be scheduling a behind-the-scenes tour of how the “magic” happens at Animal Humane & meet some amazing pets, while on our Main Campus.

Compete to raise the most money individually & receive several, very special, surprise Dash prizes (2020 Winner was Megan Edwards)!

If you ask 10 people for $10, you will raise $100, which will prepare 1 shelter pet for adoption, covering spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping & it will warm your heart to know you made a difference for a homeless pet!
